Had an amazing night with my partner at Lagotto!
Originally booked outside, but the weather took a turn. The restaurant proactively communicated alternatives, ensuring a seamless experience.
Timely and delicious food added to the overall great experience.
Thanks, Lagotto!
This would have to be one of the best places I’ve ever eaten at in Melbourne and I’ve lived here my whole life. I was genuinely blown away by every dish. I will be returning again and again. I can’t believe this place is a 5 minute drive from my house and I’ve been missing out this whole time… I wish I could give more than 5 stars for all of the above. Service, atmosphere and food for all top tier 🩵
Lagotto is always a great idea. The food and team are just incredible and make you feel at home. A special thank you to Liam, Matteo and Luke for always making us feel welcome and for creating magic.
Special tip - book yourself in on a Sunday for their Pasta with friends set menu - new menu items on trial and great value for money.
Thanks guys - we’ll be back

REVIEW:
👍 I like the sourdough and the burrata at Lagotto. It's a solid combination - hints of rosemary on a pliable soft bread that dips and hugs the refreshing burrata.
Surrounding the burrata was an army of salsa verde e rossa, who have got a bit of uncomfortable savouriness to them. Beware! They will not join the territory in your mouth willingly. 🤺
Mains were mid for me.
Bigoli is the long a thick strand type of spaghetti, a fun little number to twirl on your spoon. If you're too wild with it, you will shoot some tomato sauce splatters onto your dinner partners! 🍅
The tomato napoli wasn't for me, giving this seafood a savoury warring touch as opposed to a refreshing wind from the crisp ocean that I typically hold as my golden standard. In my opinion, I enjoy seafood with more simple flavours!
Kipfler potatoes weren't incredibly exciting either. 🤨
Tiramichoux was fun and is a definite order. Capped with a light airy pastry, it was a little intimidating to squish out the insides!
I will say, I didn't vibe with the overly bitter espresso. We were digging for the mascarpone to add a little bit more sweetness to the situation. 🍦🏒
Service was friendly, interior is gorgeous. The fit out is fun, a warm inviting environment speckled with wood and dark plum colours while taking advantage of the natural lighting. Good vibes. ☀😎🌅
This is my second time here and it did not disappoint. Both times I’ve been, the staff have been great and are extremely knowledgeable about the menu and our cups were never empty! The food is a 10/10! The restaurant itself isn’t large but the space is well used and the atmosphere is great with not too loud back ground music and lovely ambient lighting in the evening. Highly recommend if you’re considering.
One of my favourite dinners ever!! It was surprisingly chilly outside for these Sydneysiders but the blankets at each table were so damn cute that we didn't even mind, and the team let us move inside once there was a spare table. Food was delicious, especially the entrees (we had the chef's menu) and the staff were lovely. Have already recommended to friends and will definitely be back next time we visit Melbourne!
service was impeccable. the food was delicious and creative. Only downside is that the prices are abit too high for the portion size. $65 for Mayura Wagyu rump cap (first pic). I was abit disappointed for such a small piece of steak.
Our whole experience here was incredible, my whole group loved it from start to finish. The skill required to create such cuisine was evident, as the array of flavours was far beyond what I have ever experienced. The staff were delightful to chat to, and spoke with a confidence knowing they were about to serve us the meal of a lifetime. The price was a bit higher than I would ordinarily justify for a dinner with friends, but it was so worth it all things considered. I would certainly love to come back again.
